In this powerful Tuesday Night MasterMind Training, I, Elder Keith Humes, shifted the conversation from just funding and business strategy into something deeper: mindset, belief, action, and testimony.

Too many people are waiting on “perfect money” before they move on their dream. They are waiting for perfect credit, perfect investors, perfect timing, perfect paperwork, and perfect conditions. But in this training, I reminded the Coalition that the dream does not start when everything is perfect — it starts when you believe, take action, and use what God has already placed in your hands.

This session was about more than money. It was about learning how to think like a builder, a leader, and a housing operator. I shared strategies from my own testimony, my own journey, and my own experience building in the halfway house, sober living, recovery, reentry, and supportive housing space.

We reviewed how to use a hybrid nonprofit and for-profit model to build funding opportunities, create community impact, attract support, and structure housing programs that can serve people while also becoming sustainable.

Inside this training, we talked about:

We also discussed the rollout of our new non-medical recuperative care program, No Patient Left Behind, created to help address the gap between hospitals, homelessness, recovery, and safe housing.

The Coalition reviewed real member progress, including housing acquisitions, investor partnerships, sober house expansion, Detroit housing auction opportunities, transportation revenue streams, and the goal of helping members continue scaling their projects.

This was not just a class — this was a mindset shift.

Because funding follows vision. Funding follows structure. Funding follows consistency. Funding follows leadership. And sometimes, funding follows your courage to finally open your mouth and pitch the dream. 💜

We also talked about the bigger Coalition vision, including:

🏠 A collective goal of reaching 100 beds by year-end 💰 A major $100 million grant effort 🤝 Building and reviving the National Halfway House Coalition board 🚐 Non-medical transportation as a complementary revenue stream 🏥 Non-medical recuperative care opportunities 📍 The upcoming Fort Lauderdale in-person summit, September 28–30 🙌 Community outreach wins, including feeding approximately 200 people and helping place someone into housing

This training is for the person who knows they are called to build something, but they keep letting fear, credit, money, or uncertainty hold them back.
